What is the process for becoming a member?
Potential members are strongly encouraged to attend our December and January rehearsals, where we will evaluate character, attitude, work ethic, desire, skill set, and willingness to learn. If we feel that both your personal and performance qualities line up with our standards and expectations for membership, we will then offer a membership contract. We are willing to work with you on any instrument!
What if I want to march with Connexion but am currently participating in WGI?
Participating in WGI during the winter does Not disqualify you from earning a spot to march Connexion in the summer. However, there are 2 commitments you MUST make to the corps once contracted even though you will not be participating in any events until the WGI season is over. Failure to abide by these commitments could potentially void your contract.
To earn a spot, attend the winter audition camps if possible. If you can’t, a video audition can be sent to the Caption Head of the section you’re auditioning for. If you’re offered a contract and sign, you will then be required to make a negotiated financial commitment as well as a commitment to completing and submitting any required video assignment when due. Upholding these commitments GUARANTEES your spot until you can return.

The 2026 membership fee is $650 and is due in full by July 1st 2026. However, fees may be paid off as soon as possible.

Does the corps provide transportation during the competition season?
The corps works to book shows that are no more than 1.5 hours max driving time from its home base of Milwaukee county, WI. All transportation to and from is the member’s responsibility. We highly encourage members to carpool as it helps keep their travel costs down and it can be a rather enjoyable experience as well to connect with others. However, members can drive themselves or be brought by a parent or guardian.
Does the corps provide meals or am I responsible for them?
Connexion will provide meals for all diets as needed covering all the food groups at almost every weekend rehearsal during the Winter & Spring as well as during the Summer. However, for camps in December and January members will be on their own for Lunch.
Is the Connexion for me?
will provide you with a stable organization, quality instruction, and a solid platform to help you better your self-confidence, and performance qualities through the marching arts. As with anything, you get out of it what you put into it. The group is founded on the principle of “family and opportunity" and that is how we treat each other as we work and strive to be the most crowd-engaging and entertaining group possible. Your opportunity and chance for an enjoyable and very personally rewarding experience are high, but the outcome is completely determined by you.
